    Hypnotherapy is a form of therapy often used in combination with other forms of therapy to address a variety of mental and emotional health issues such as unhealthy behaviors or habits, pain or physical discomfort such as nausea and vomiting, phobias, anxiety, and depression. Hypnotherapy involves inducing a trance-like state in which the patient is more open to suggestions. The therapist then uses various techniques to help the patient change their thoughts, feelings or behaviors.

    Hypnosis relaxes the conscious part of our mind. Think of the deepest part of your mind having a gate keeping you from accessing it. Hypnosis is the key to unlocking the gate, so that we can explore these parts of the mind.

  • Self-hypnosis is exactly what it sounds like! We all have the ability to enter a hypnotic state without the guidance of another person. Self-hypnosis can be learned through our sessions and used to overcome a variety of obstacles in daily life.

  • Everyone can benefit from hypnotherapy because it teaches us how to enter a deep state of relaxation and access parts of the subconscious mind. Hypnosis has been used for weight loss, fighting addictions, reducing anxiety, quitting smoking, coping with stress, overcoming phobias and fears, pain management, deeper sleep, increased motivation and greater awareness of self.

  • Our session will involve me audibly guiding you into a deep, relaxed state of hypnosis. In this state, your mind will be more open to suggestion and influence. We will be able to explore undesired behaviors or emotions you might be experiencing. Ultimately, my goal is to teach you self-hypnosis, so you can implement this effective tool in your daily life.

  • You will not be unconscious during our session, rather, you will be in a deeply relaxed state. You will be awake and fully in control of your body. You will be aware of your surroundings.

  • Session length will vary from person to person. Typically, a session will range from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours. We recommend blocking out at least two hours and allowing yourself some quiet time after your session before jumping back into your day, so you can process the work we did together.

  • Clients tend to see incredible results in just a few sessions! Some can accomplish their goals in one session, others may need more time. We will discuss your goals and track your progress. We want to teach you how to access a state of deep relaxation, whenever you need to, and equip you with the skills to overcome your obstacles.

  • You will need access to Zoom and a stable internet connection. We recommend using headphones. Also, find a quiet, comfortable space where you can be uninterrupted for the duration of your session.
